The business is a partnership between Isabelle and her parents, Sylvie and Michel Francoeur.

“[My parents] were thinking that it would be a retirement hobby,” explained Isabelle. “But when I heard about it I said, ‘No, we need to open a shop. Kap needs this.’”

Cordonnerie Francoeur is no ordinary shoe repair store – they fix all things leather, as well as any horse and hunting equipment.

The Grand Opening was buzzing with family, friends and residents – many of whom took the opportunity to drop off some items in need of repairs.

Councillor Laurier Guillemette was also in attendance to cut the ribbon and congratulate the new business owners.
