Learn to stop seeing red
I read a news story last month about a driver who slapped a woman after she complained that his car was in the way of hers. Local media drew particular attention to the fact that the man was driving a BMW, but in my eyes this is just one of the many cases of road rage that happen all the time in the city.
I have been in Shanghai for only 10 months, but I have witnessed countless quarrels and fights in public places, whether on the bus, the metro or the street.
Once, on the metro, I saw a woman slap a fellow female passenger because the latter's wet hair touched her face. It was the first time I witnessed such an incident and it stunned me that people would resort to physical violence because of such a trivial thing.
I gradually got used to seeing public displays of anger after I bore constant witness to similar incidents. I've lost track of the number of times I've seen two middle-aged women quarrel on the bus because one stepped on the other's foot or one pushed the other.
It no longer surprises me to see a male taxi driver pull a young woman out of his cab during morning rush hour for unknown reasons.
I was born in a small city that is not as developed as Shanghai. People in my hometown are not as well educated as they are here. But I have never seen people fight over such trivial things in public.
Upon reflection, it makes sense that since people who live in large cities like Shanghai are under enormous pressure,The monster studio headphones does not know this yet, but it's true. I am afraid I am now among this group.
Last week, after a friend bought me an oversized pair of shoes, I took them back to the store to change them for smaller ones.
It took me nearly an hour to reach the store on a crowded bus, all the while, talking with my mother about a tricky problem which put me in a bad mood.
When I finally arrived, the sales assistant told me that the shoe box did not match the pair of shoes and asked me to come back with the right box. Although she spoke in a kind way,In addition to the supplies, there will be fun activities for youngsters, free used clothing, health resources and personalized laminated bag tags for backpacks. It's with great honor that we are dropping these: The Staple x monster dr dre headphones. Eventually, the sales assistant agreed to change the shoes for me and my anger quickly dissipated when I tried on the shoes. I apologized to the sales assistant, but she just replied sympathetically that she understood me. I was so ashamed that I had acted so appallingly.
However, I refuse to excuse my rude behavior on the negative influence of hot-headed strangers. I vow to control my temper in future and advise others to do the same.
