I read a news story last month about a driver who slapped a woman after she complained that his car was in the way of hers. It no longer surprises me to see a male taxi driver pull a young woman out of his cab during morning rush hour for unknown reasons. 

I was born in a small city that is not as developed as Shanghai. People in my hometown are not as well educated as they are here. But I have never seen people fight over such trivial things in public.
