'Walk a mile in her shoes' to end sexual assault

Among the stiletto supporters will be honorary chair and former Super Bowl champion, D’Marco Farr; St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson; St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley; and East St. Louis Mayor Alvin Parks.
“Most people think of sexual assault as a woman’s issue. It’s not; it’s a community issue," said Dooley. "That’s why I applaud the YWCA for organizing this event to highlight the impact of sexual violence and gender violence as a community issue. The walk also helps bring attention to the work the YWCA does to help abuse victims.
"We are very proud of the work done by our staff and volunteers at the YWCA's St. Louis Regional Sexual Assault Center and we salute all the courageous survivors of sexual assault who have received services at the center," said the YWCA's CEO Adrian Bracy.
