Change of focus for newsagency

AFTER 10 years operating Kooringal Newsagency, the owners will today hang up their boots and start focusing on different things.

This will leave the shopping complex without a newsagency and customers without a place to get their usual lottery fix.

"We're continuing with distribution of The Daily Advertiser and we're continuing our stationery business which will run purely online," Mrs Seymour said.

"We've had a lot of positive responses, as in people wishing us well and we're happy we can still offer them distribution services.

"There are a few who are sad; it's been a little meeting place for people."

She said after 10 years it was time to start a new chapter with her family.

"We've taken the parts of the business that can grow and we will continue with them," she said.

For Cess Seymour, who is not related to the owners, it was a sad goodbye yesterday to a newsagency where he has many memories.
