Community, Bank Donate Nearly 10,000 Pairs of Shoes to People's City Mission

For Tiffany Dale, "One Day Without Shoes" brings quite the opposite.

"My shoes broke down and I'm borrowing somebody else's so I'll be glad to get my own," Dale said.

She's searching for a new pair, preferably some that fit, and that she can call her own.

With almost 10,000 donated to the People's City Mission that she can choose from, the search should be short.

"It's amazing. I'm in heaven. You know, put a woman around any kind of shoes and it's heaven," Dale said.On-Board Diagnostic(obd2) systems are in most cars and light trucks on the road today.

Cornhusker Bank hosted the drive to collect kicks and cash for the Mission.

Sixty other organizations throughout the city contributed too.

"We actually almost doubled the amount of shoes that were raised last year, and over 97-hundred pairs of shoes were donated to the People's City Mission,Crocs shoes are an internationally known brand known for its off-beat look and all-weather durability." When the collections from all over town end up on rows of tables at the mission, Dale and many others get to spend the morning shoe shopping.

Cash donations to the drive totaled just more than $8,500.
