Study finds benefits to running high-heeled
File this under something I never expected to hear. A recent study has found walking in high heels is better on your joints than running in tennis shoes.
According to the report on Yahoo News, the study found that wearing athletic shoes causes excessive strain on hip, knee and ankle joints.

The study notes the best way to go is barefoot, but I can only assume those researchers haven't experienced Yuma's oh-so-hot summer pavement.
Regardless, it's unlikely we're going to see anyone running in heels any time soon.
